Book Reviews

Welcome to An Author’s Take where I share my thoughts on books written by other inspiring Christian authors. Like all of you, I love to read! Isn’t reading such a fantastic escape? I enjoy getting drawn into a good story and feeling the emotions as it unfolds. My favorite books are those that seem to end too soon. I love wondering what could happen next.

With this book review service, it is my goal to introduce you to new authors and some books you haven’t read yet. I promise to provide only honest reviews with just enough detail to pique your interest. I will let you know where to find the books and share if they are on tour.

All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the story!

Blessings,
Jeannine

Celebrate Lit

A Celebrate Lit Blogger is someone who receives books in exchange for an honest review. When a book to review becomes available, bloggers receive an email with all the details. Bloggers can then sign up for the books that interest them.  If the blogger is chosen to participate in the book tour, they are notified of the date they must post their book review. Each book tour gives bloggers the opportunity to read a great Christian piece of literature while also helping a Christian author!

When Hope Sank

Captivating Tale of Resilience and Hope "When Hope Sank" is an incredible historical fiction novel that truly captivated me from start to finish. This is the first book I've read by Denise Weimer, and I loved it! Set during the Civil War, the story follows Lily Livingston, a young woman who has lost everything – her family, her home, and her sense of security. She now works at her uncle’s inn in Arkansas, trying to stay out of the conflict

Forgotten Secret

A Psychological Thriller This is the first book I've read by S.F. Baumgartner, and I have to say, it was a thrilling ride from start to finish. The story follows Clara Khoury, a 44-year-old magazine writer who has lived with gaps in her memory for twenty years. When the remains of a young woman are found, Clara is triggered to investigate, diving into a disturbing past she can barely remember. The plot really grabs you. Clara's journey to uncover the

Do You Have the Courage to Be You?

Courage to Be You "Do You Have the Courage to Be You?" by Jenny Williamson is an inspiring and thought-provoking book. As a woman in midlife, I could relate to Jenny's feelings and her longing to do more with her life. Her journey from regular life to starting an international nonprofit to help children affected by human trafficking is truly remarkable. Jenny's message is clear: each of us is unique and created for a special purpose. She encourages readers to

Earning the Mountain Mans Trust

Love and Redemption in the Montana Wilderness In "Earning the Mountain Man's Trust," I was transported to the untamed beauty of the Montana Territory, where the Coulter ranch stands as a bastion of family and redemption. At the heart of the story is Naomi Wyatt, a resilient young woman who has weathered the storms of love and loss. Left alone to care for her precious daughter after being abandoned by her first love, Naomi finds solace in the friendship and
