An Author’s Take Review

I always loved sharing a good children’s book with my kids. I had a wonderful time watching their expressions and seeing their excitement shine through as the stories unfolded. It has been a while since I had the opportunity to read a children’s book. My daughters are all grown up, and my 17-year-old son is not really into having his mom read to him these days. Fortunately, my daughters started their own families, so I am now blessed to have eight grandchildren to read to on occasion.

My grandchildren are coming for Christmas, which means I have the opportunity to share a fantastic book with them. I searched for the perfect children’s book to read on Christmas Day, and my quest led me to the book ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Donna Wyland. The vibrant colors on the cover caught my attention, as did the detailed illustrations. The title was catchy, and the message was appropriate, so I gave the book a try.

The book was easy to read and contained appropriate wording for my grandchildren aged 2 to 8 years old. My favorite aspect of the book is how the author shares the story of Jesus. The rhyming made it a fun read, and the illustrations kept me interested. I can’t wait to share this book with my grandchildren!

If you are interested in a Christian-centric children’s book that you can read this Christmas, then this book is for you!

Recommendation:

I highly recommend Twas the Night Before Jesus. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
